Multi-Source Feedback cannot be ended early unless all a trainee's nominated assessors have responded, because the assessors have been sent an e-mail which tells them they have until a specific date and time to respond. If the MSF is ended before the original end-date, any remaining assessors would no longer have the opportunity to complete the form.
If all a trainee's assessors have responded, the MSF can be ended early and feedback can be generated. For this to happen, one of the trainee's registered supervisors must send an email to our support team stating that the mix of assessors for the assessment is appropriate. The supervisor should send this e-mail to the FOM PortfolioBuilder support email address: support@fomportfolio.zendesk.com.
Can a supervisor authorise the end of an MSF early when there are still assessors responses pending?
No. The supervisor being happy with the mix of assessors is contingent on them being able to see who has responded. As the assessment is confidential, the supervisor cannot see who has responded, so would not be able to say they are happy with the mix of assessors if all assessors have not responded. Only if all assessors have responded can the supervisor be sure that the trainee has the appropriate mix of assessors.
