'Folders' in PortfolioBuilder represent the discrete collection of events that relate to a training level in a trainee's portfolio.
Specialty training portfolios will typically have one folder per training level (e.g. ST4, ST5) which usually corresponds to an ARCP period. When a trainee moves to the next level of training, a new folder should be started at the new level. A trainee should make sure they always have a current folder.
The current folder is where all a trainee's activities and assessments will be stored by default. It’s also the default filter when viewing a trainee's activities. By using the filters on the activities page, previous folders can be selected as can a view of everything in one list.
A trainee can move an activity from one folder to another by editing the activity. This goes to a screen where the activity can be moved. It is also possible to assign activities to multiple folders if necessary, but this would not be recommended as best practice.
