Once the ARCP process is complete, trainees will see a notification of this on the dashboard of their FOM PortfolioBuilder account and will be asked to sign off the ARCP to acknowledge the outcome.
Acknowledging an ARCP indicates that a trainee understands the recommendations arising from the review. It does not imply that they accept or agree with them. The trainee can still have the recommendation reviewed as well as the right of appeal for outcomes 3, 4 and 7.3 as delineated in The Gold Guide, Section 7.
Step 1: Go to the dashboard of your trainee account on FOM PortfolioBuilder.
Step 2: Click on 'View ARCP' in the Outstanding Tasks.
Step 3: Check the agreement box.
Step 4: Click on 'Sign Off'.
Once a trainee has acknowledged an ARCP outcome by signing it off, it will feature in the list of activities in their portfolio.
Trainees should note that ARCP reviews are also available to a trainee's registered supervisors. The documents are made available for information and to support revalidation processes. The documents will also be accessible by the Faculty. This information will also be submitted to the GMC electronically as part of the Deanery/LETB’s annual report to the GMC through the ARCP/RITA survey.
Trainees can add a supervisor relationship and end a supervisor relationship for certain types of supervisor.
